Real results, straight from the dashboards

The chart comes straight from Google Search Console for a client site we work on. We have not edited the numbers, and client names are kept private.

It shows 16 months of organic search growth for a client site: 8,430 clicks and 660,000 impressions, with daily clicks climbing from under 10 a day to peaks above 60 a day.

Rankings and traffic are only part of the story. For every client, we also track how many of those visitors become enquiries and sales, and report it in AgencyAnalytics.

What our SEO service actually does

SEO stands for search engine optimisation. In plain terms, it is the work of getting your business found when people search for what you sell. That search might happen on Google, on Bing, or more and more often, inside AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews.

Most agencies stop there. They get you more traffic, send a report full of charts, and call it a win. As a Perth-based digital marketing agency built on results, we don’t. Traffic only matters if some of those visitors become customers. So our SEO service is built around one question: how many of the people who found you through search went on to buy, book or enquire?

Here is what that looks like in practice. We start with a full SEO audit, then fix the technical and on-page issues that stop Google from understanding your site. We improve your content so it answers real questions and keeps people reading. We build your authority so Google and AI tools trust you. And we tune your pages so more visitors take the next step. Then we track every step from search to sale, and show you the numbers in a live AgencyAnalytics dashboard.

There are no lock-in contracts. If we are not delivering, you can walk away. That keeps us honest, and it keeps us focused on the results that pay your bills.

Why most SEO doesn't work for business owners

If you have paid for SEO before and felt burned, you are not alone. We hear the same stories every week from business owners and marketing managers. The problem is rarely that SEO doesn’t work. The problem is how it gets sold and measured.

Problem 01 of 05

Rankings without revenue

What usually happens

It is easy to rank for a keyword nobody buys from. An agency can show you a page-one ranking for a phrase with very few searches, or one that attracts the wrong kind of searcher. It looks good in a report. It does nothing for your bank account. Ranking is a means to an end, not the end itself.

How we do it

We target the searches that bring buyers, then measure the leads and sales they create.

Problem 02 of 05

Traffic that never converts

What usually happens

More visitors is not the same as more customers. If your site is slow, confusing or missing a clear next step, extra traffic just means more people leaving. Many SEO campaigns bring in visitors and then ignore what happens once they land.

How we do it

Conversion optimisation is built into every campaign, so more visitors take the next step.

Problem 03 of 05

Long contracts that protect the agency

What usually happens

Twelve-month lock-in contracts are common in SEO. They protect the agency, not you. If results don't show up, you are still paying. We think that is backwards. A good agency should earn your business every single month.

How we do it

Month to month, no lock-in. We earn your business every single month.

Problem 04 of 05

Reports you can't use

What usually happens

Many SEO reports are pages of graphs with no clear answer to the only question you care about: did this make us money? If you finish reading your report and still don't know whether SEO is paying off, the report has failed.

How we do it

A live AgencyAnalytics dashboard plus a plain-English monthly summary.

Problem 05 of 05

Set and forget

What usually happens

Search changes constantly. Google updates its algorithm many times a year, competitors publish new content, and AI tools are changing how people find answers. SEO that was set up once and then left alone slowly loses ground.

How we do it

Monthly reviews, fresh content and ongoing testing, so you keep gaining ground.

Our approach is designed to fix every one of these problems. It starts with how we measure success.

Performance-based SEO with no lock-in contracts

Every SEO service we offer is performance-based and runs month to month. Here is exactly what that means, because the term gets used loosely in our industry.

What performance-based means at Anahaw Media

For us, performance-based means we measure our work on customers, not clicks. For every visitor who arrives from organic search, we track what they do next. Did they call? Fill in a form? Book? Buy? Where we can connect your CRM or sales data, we follow that lead all the way through to a closed sale.

That changes how we work. We don’t chase keywords just because they are easy to rank for. We chase the searches your buyers actually use when they are ready to act. We don’t celebrate traffic that bounces. We fix the pages until visitors take the next step.

Why we don’t use lock-in contracts

We don’t ask you to sign up for 12 months. Our agreements run month to month. If you are not happy with the results or the service, you can leave. No exit fees and no fine print.

That might sound risky for an agency. It is actually the point. It pushes us to show progress early, communicate clearly and keep delivering. We would rather keep your business because you want to stay.

A quick note on honesty: SEO still takes time. Some wins, like fixing technical errors or improving pages that already sit on page two, can show up within weeks. Bigger gains in competitive markets usually build over several months. No contract doesn’t mean instant results. It means you can always see what you are getting, and decide for yourself whether it is worth it.

What we track for every SEO visitor

The search and the landing page that brought them in.

What they did

Calls, form fills, bookings, quote requests, chats and purchases.

Whether they became a customer

Matched against your CRM or sales records where that data is available.

What each customer is worth

So you can see the real return on your SEO spend.

What's included in our SEO service

Four parts, one goal: more customers from search. Pick a tab to see exactly what we do.

On-page optimisation

On-page optimisation is everything we do on your own website to help search engines understand it and help visitors use it. It is the foundation for everything else. If your pages are hard for Google to read, no amount of content or links will fully make up for it.

We start with a full audit of your site, then fix issues in order of impact. The problems that cost you the most enquiries get fixed first.

Good SEO starts with knowing what your buyers type into Google. We look at search volumes, but we don’t stop there. We also look at how ready each searcher is to buy, how hard each keyword is to rank for, and how much a customer from that search is likely to be worth to you.

We also talk to you and your team. Your sales staff hear the exact words customers use every day. Those words often reveal valuable searches that keyword tools miss, especially in niche or technical industries.

The result is a keyword map: a simple plan that shows which page on your site should rank for which group of searches. It stops your pages competing with each other, and it makes sure every important search has a home.

Search intent is the reason behind a search. Someone typing “how to fix a leaking tap” wants instructions. Someone typing “emergency plumber Perth” wants to call someone right now. If your page doesn’t match the intent, it won’t rank well, and it won’t convert even if it does.

We map every important page on your site to one main search intent and a group of related keywords. Service pages target people ready to buy. Guides and articles target people who are still researching. That way, every page has one clear job.

Title tags and meta descriptions

Your title tag is the blue headline people see in Google. Your meta description is the short summary underneath it. Together, they are your first sales pitch. We write them to include your main keyword, stay within the length Google shows, and give searchers a clear reason to click on you instead of the listing above.

Headings and page structure

Every page gets one clear H1 heading that says what the page is about. Subheadings (H2s and H3s) break the page into sections that are easy to scan. This helps readers find what they need quickly. It also helps Google and AI tools pull the right answer out of your page.

A page address like yoursite.com.au/services/roof-repairs is easier for people and search engines to understand than one full of numbers and symbols. We keep URLs short, readable and consistent. When we change a URL, we always set up a redirect, so you don’t lose rankings or links.

Internal links connect the pages on your own site. They help search engines find your content, understand how topics relate, and work out which pages matter most. They also guide visitors from reading to buying. We build internal links with clear, descriptive link text, and we make sure your money pages get the most support.

Technical SEO basics

Technical SEO is the behind-the-scenes work that lets search engines crawl and index your site properly. We check and fix:

  • Pages that are blocked from Google by mistake
  • Broken links and long chains of redirects
  • Duplicate pages that compete against each other
  • XML sitemaps and robots.txt settings
  • Canonical tags, which tell Google which version of a page is the main one
  • Mobile usability problems
  • HTTPS and security issues

Page speed and Core Web Vitals

Core Web Vitals are Google’s measures of how fast and stable your pages feel to real users. Slow pages rank lower and lose visitors. We compress images, trim heavy code, improve caching and stop page elements jumping around as they load, so your pages feel quick on phones as well as desktops.

Schema markup

Schema is extra code that tells search engines exactly what is on a page: a service, a product, a review, a list of questions, a business address. It can help you win richer search listings. It also helps AI tools understand your business clearly, which matters more every month as AI search grows.

Images and media

We name image files clearly, write useful alt text, and resize images so they don’t slow your pages down. Good alt text helps people who use screen readers, and it gives search engines more context about your page.

Trust signals on the page

Google wants to rank businesses that show real experience, expertise, authority and trust. People in the SEO industry call this E-E-A-T. On your pages, that means clear author information, real reviews, case studies, credentials, contact details and an easy-to-find business address. We make sure these show up where they help most.

Content analysis and optimisation for engagement

Content is how you answer the questions your buyers are asking. Good content ranks, builds trust and moves people toward a decision. Weak content does the opposite. It confuses readers and sends them back to Google to find a better answer, often on a competitor’s site.

Our content work has two sides. First, we analyse what you already have. Then we improve it, and create new content where there are gaps.

Auditing the content you already have

Most businesses already have plenty of content. The problem is that some of it is working, some of it is doing nothing, and some of it is actually holding the site back. We go through every page and put it into one of four groups:

  • Keep: pages that rank, get traffic and bring in enquiries.
  • Improve: pages with potential that are stuck on page two or losing clicks.
  • Merge: several thin pages covering the same topic, combined into one strong page.
  • Remove or redirect: outdated or low-quality pages that add no value.

Improving pages that already rank on page two is often the fastest win in SEO. Google already sees them as relevant. They usually just need more depth, better structure or stronger links to move up.

Finding content gaps

A content gap is a question your buyers ask that your site doesn’t answer, but your competitors’ sites do. We compare your site with the businesses outranking you, look at the questions people type into search, and talk to your team about what customers ask every day. That tells us what to write next, in order of business value.

Writing for people first

We write in plain English that anyone can follow. Short sentences. Clear headings. Real examples. The answer comes first, then the detail. This is how people read online: they scan, they look for their answer, and they leave if they can’t find it fast.

Writing this way helps with AI search too. Tools like ChatGPT and Google’s AI Overviews prefer content that gives a clear, direct answer they can quote. If your page answers the question in its first few lines, it has a much better chance of being used.

Measuring engagement

Rankings tell you whether people find your page. Engagement tells you whether they like what they find. We track engagement in Google Analytics 4 for every important page, including:

  • Engagement rate: the share of visits where people actually interact with the page.
  • Average engagement time: how long people actively spend on the page.
  • Scroll depth: how far down the page people read.
  • Clicks to key pages: whether people move from a guide to a service page or your contact page.
  • Conversions: whether the page leads to calls, forms or sales.

When a page ranks well but engagement is low, the content isn’t meeting expectations. Maybe the introduction is too slow, the answer is buried, or the page looks dated. We fix what the data points to, then measure again.

Optimising content for engagement

These are the changes that most often lift engagement:

  • Putting the answer at the top, then expanding below it
  • Breaking long blocks of text into short paragraphs with clear subheadings
  • Adding tables, checklists and step-by-step lists where they make things easier
  • Using real photos, screenshots and diagrams instead of generic stock images
  • Adding FAQs that answer the follow-up questions people actually ask
  • Linking to the next logical page, so readers always know where to go
  • Updating old facts, prices and examples so the page stays accurate

Types of content we create

  • Service pages that explain what you offer, who it’s for and why people should choose you
  • Category and product pages for online stores, written to rank and to sell
  • Location pages for businesses that serve several areas
  • Guides and how-to articles that answer common questions in depth
  • Comparison pages that help buyers weigh up their options
  • FAQ sections that answer quick questions and win AI answers
  • Case studies that prove what you can do

We can write the content for you, work with your in-house team, or give your writers clear briefs to follow. Either way, every piece has a job, a target search and a way to measure whether it worked.

Topic clusters

Instead of writing random blog posts, we group content into topic clusters. A cluster has one main page covering a broad topic, supported by detailed articles on related questions. They all link to each other. This shows Google that you cover the topic in depth, which helps the whole group rank better.

Keeping content fresh

Content is not a one-off job. We review your key pages regularly, refresh the ones that start to slip, and update anything that has gone out of date. Fresh, accurate content protects the rankings you have already earned.

Authority building

Authority is how much search engines trust your website compared with others in your market. Two sites can have similar content, but the one with more authority usually ranks higher. Authority comes mainly from what other trusted websites say about you, and whether they link to you.

A link from another website to yours works like a vote of confidence. But not all votes are equal. One link from a respected industry publication or a trusted local news site is worth far more than hundreds of links from low-quality directories. We focus on quality and relevance, never volume for its own sake.

How we build authority

  • Digital PR: creating stories, data and expert commentary that journalists and publishers want to share.
  • Industry relationships: getting featured by the suppliers, partners and associations you already work with.
  • Expert contributions: positioning your team as experts through guest articles, interviews and podcasts.
  • Local citations: making sure your business name, address and phone number are correct and consistent on trusted Australian directories.
  • Unlinked brand mentions: finding sites that mention your business without linking to it, and asking them to add the link.
  • Broken link opportunities: finding broken links on relevant sites and offering your content as a replacement.

Reviews and reputation

Reviews are a major trust signal, especially for local search. Businesses with a steady flow of genuine reviews tend to show up more often in Google’s map results. They also convert better, because buyers trust other buyers. We help you set up a simple process to ask happy customers for reviews, and to respond to every review, good or bad.

Authority in AI search

AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini build their answers from sources they trust. When your brand is mentioned on respected sites, listed in trusted directories and discussed in your industry, AI tools are more likely to name you in their answers. Authority building now helps you in both traditional search and AI search.

How we measure authority

Google doesn’t publish an official authority score. Instead, we track a mix of signals over time: the number and quality of websites linking to you, how often your brand is mentioned, your review count and rating, and how your rankings move for competitive searches. Together, these show whether your site is becoming more trusted in your market.

What we never do

Some SEO providers still buy links in bulk, use private blog networks or spam comment sections. These tactics can work for a short time, then lead to penalties that wipe out your rankings. We don’t use them. Every link we build is one we would be happy for you, or Google, to look at closely.

Conversion optimisation as part of SEO

Here is something most SEO agencies don’t talk about: getting more of your existing visitors to convert is often cheaper and faster than getting more visitors. That is why conversion rate optimisation, or CRO, is part of every SEO campaign we run.

Think of it this way. Say 1,000 people visit your service page each month and 1 in 100 of them enquire. That is 10 leads. Lift that to 2 in 100 and you get 20 leads from exactly the same traffic. No extra rankings needed.

Make the next step obvious

Every page should make it clear what the visitor should do next. We review the wording, placement and design of your calls to action, so they stand out without being pushy. Your phone number, enquiry button or buy button should never be hard to find, especially on a phone.

Shorter, smarter forms

Every extra form field gives people another reason to give up. We cut forms back to what you actually need, make them easy to fill in on a phone, and add clear messages when something goes wrong.

Trust at the moment of decision

People hesitate right before they commit. That is exactly where reviews, guarantees, case studies, accreditations and clear pricing information do the most good. We place trust signals right next to your calls to action.

Landing pages that match the search

If someone searches for “commercial electrician Perth” and lands on a general homepage, they have to work to find what they wanted. Many won’t bother. We make sure each high-value search lands on a page built for that exact need.

Speed and the mobile experience

Most searches now happen on phones. A page that loads slowly, or is hard to use on a small screen, loses customers before they even see your offer. Improving speed helps your rankings and your conversions at the same time.

Testing and learning

We use heatmaps, session recordings and analytics to see where people get stuck. Then we test changes, such as new headlines, layouts or offers, and keep the ones that lift results. Decisions are based on what your visitors actually do, not on guesswork.

Following the journey from search to sale

Very few people buy on their first visit. A typical buyer might find a guide on your site, come back a week later through a different search, check your reviews, and then call. We look at the full journey, not just the last click, so the pages that start the conversation get the credit they deserve. That tells us where to invest, and it shows you the true value of your content.

Call tracking

For many Australian businesses, the phone is still the most important source of leads. We set up call tracking so calls from organic search are counted and credited properly. Without it, your SEO could be working much better than your reports show.

How your SEO campaign unfolds

Every business is different, so we won’t pretend there is one standard result. What we can do is explain what usually happens, and what affects the speed and size of your results.

First two weeks

Audit and tracking

We audit your website, content, backlinks and competitors. We check your tracking and fix it if needed, because we can’t measure performance without reliable data. You get a clear plan that shows what we will do first, and why.

You will see: A clear plan, and tracking you can trust.

Weeks three to six

Fix the foundations

We fix the technical and on-page issues with the biggest impact. That often includes page speed, indexing problems, titles and headings, internal links and schema. We also improve the pages closest to page one.

You will see: Better technical health, faster pages and more pages indexed.

Months two and three

Content and authority

We start filling content gaps, improving key service pages and building authority through quality links and mentions. We also begin conversion improvements on your most visited pages.

You will see: Impressions rising, and pages climbing from page two toward page one.

Month four onwards

Grow and compound

We keep publishing, building authority and testing conversion improvements. Every month we review the data, double down on what brings in customers and cut what doesn’t. SEO gains build on each other over time, so this is where the biggest returns usually show up.

You will see: More clicks, more enquiries and more sales. This is where SEO starts to pay for itself.

What affects your timeline

Competition

Ranking for “lawyer Sydney” takes far longer than ranking for a niche industrial product.

Your starting point

An older site with some authority usually moves faster than a brand new one.

Technical health

Sites with serious technical problems need those fixed before growth can begin.

Content and resources

Businesses that can publish and improve content regularly grow faster.

Your offer

SEO can bring people to your door, but a strong offer, fair pricing and good service turn them into customers.

Timelines vary with your industry, your competition and your starting point. We will give you realistic expectations upfront, based on your market. We will walk you through all of this in your free audit, with an honest view of what is realistic for your market.

Conversion reporting in AgencyAnalytics

We use AgencyAnalytics as our reporting platform. It pulls data from Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Google Business Profile, call tracking and other tools into one live dashboard. You can log in any time and see exactly how your SEO is performing. No waiting around for a monthly PDF.

How we connect SEO to real customers

GA4 key events→Call tracking→CRM or store data→Customers, not clicks

Tracking starts with setting up Google Analytics 4 properly, with key events for every action that matters to your business. We add call tracking so phone leads are counted. Where possible, we connect your CRM or eCommerce platform, so we can see which SEO leads became paying customers and what they spent.

This is what lets us talk about customers instead of clicks. It also shows you which pages and topics bring in your best customers, so we can put more effort there.

A plain-English summary every month

Dashboards are great, but you shouldn’t need to be an analyst to understand your results. Every month we send a short summary that covers what happened, why it happened, what we did and what we are doing next. If something isn’t working, we tell you straight, along with the plan to fix it.

What your conversion report shows

  • Organic traffic, split by landing page and device
  • Rankings for the searches that matter to your business
  • Leads from organic search: calls, forms, bookings and chats
  • Sales and revenue from organic search, for online stores
  • Conversion rates for your key pages
  • Google Business Profile activity, such as calls, website clicks and requests for directions
  • Work completed this month and what is planned next

Local SEO in Perth and SEO across Australia

We are based in Perth and work with businesses right across Australia. Whether you want more customers in your suburb or across the whole country, the approach adapts to fit.

Local SEO

For businesses that serve a local area, such as trades, clinics, professional services and retail stores, local SEO is often where the fastest wins are. We optimise your Google Business Profile, build consistent local citations, create location pages that are genuinely useful, and help you earn more reviews. The goal is to show up in the map results when people nearby search for what you offer.

For online stores and businesses that sell Australia-wide, we focus on strong category and service pages, in-depth content and national-level authority. Competition is tougher, so the strategy leans more heavily on content quality and link building.

Shopify and WordPress SEO

We work most often with WordPress and Shopify sites. Both platforms can rank very well, but each has its own quirks. On Shopify, that includes duplicate product URLs, collection page structure and apps that slow the store down. On WordPress, it is often plugin conflicts, slow themes and messy page builders. We know where the problems usually hide.

Who our SEO service is for

Our SEO service works best for businesses where customers search before they buy. That covers a lot of ground. Here are the types of businesses we most often work with.

Online stores

Shopify and WooCommerce stores selling across Australia. We focus on category pages, product pages, product feeds and content that helps buyers choose. Our team has built and scaled its own global eCommerce brand, so we understand margins, stock and seasonality, not just rankings.

Trades and home services

Plumbers, electricians, builders, landscapers and other trades that rely on local enquiries. For these businesses, Google Business Profile, reviews, location pages and fast mobile pages usually matter most.

Professional services

Accountants, lawyers, consultants and clinics, where trust decides who gets the call. Content that shows real expertise, clear author details and strong reviews all play a big role.

Industrial and B2B businesses

Manufacturers, suppliers and B2B service providers with long sales cycles and technical buyers. Here, detailed product content, clear specifications and good lead tracking through to the CRM make the difference.

Hospitality and venues

Restaurants, bars and event venues that need to show up when people search for somewhere to eat, drink or celebrate. Local SEO, strong venue pages and good reviews drive bookings and enquiries.

Common SEO mistakes we fix

After auditing a lot of Australian websites, we see the same mistakes again and again. The good news is that most of them are fixable, and fixing them often brings quick gains. Flip a card to see how we fix it, and tick any that sound like you.

One page trying to rank for everything

A single “Services” page listing ten services rarely ranks for any of them.

Thin location pages

Dozens of copy-paste suburb pages with only the place name swapped. Google sees through it.

No clear next step

Pages rank well but never ask the visitor to do anything, so most simply leave.

Broken tracking

Forms that don’t record, calls never tracked, and Analytics nobody has checked in years.

Website rebuilds without redirects

A new site can wipe out years of rankings overnight if old URLs aren’t redirected.

Chasing the wrong keywords

Big, broad keywords look impressive but bring in people who aren’t ready to buy.

Ignoring Google Business Profile

Wrong hours, missing photos and unanswered reviews quietly cost local businesses calls.

How to choose an SEO agency

Whether you work with us or someone else, these questions will help you find an SEO partner worth paying for.

  • How will you measure success? If the answer is only rankings and traffic, keep looking. Ask how they track leads and sales.
  • Do I have to sign a long contract? Long lock-ins protect the agency. Ask why they need one.
  • Who will actually do the work? Find out whether senior people stay involved after the sales pitch.
  • How do you build links? If they can’t explain it clearly, or promise a set number of links every month, be careful.
  • What will I see in reports? Ask for a sample. You should understand it without a translator.
  • Can you show real results? Look for real screenshots and case studies, not just client logos.
  • What happens if it isn’t working? A good agency tells you early and changes course.

We are happy to answer every one of these on a call. That is part of our free audit.

SEO questions, answered

Straight answers to the questions business owners and marketing managers ask us most.

SEO services are the work of improving your website so it shows up higher in search results when people search for what you sell. At Anahaw Media, that includes on-page optimisation, content analysis and optimisation, authority building and conversion optimisation, all measured on how many visitors become customers.

It depends on your goals, your market and how much work your site needs. We quote after our free audit, so the price matches the work that will actually move your results. There are no lock-in contracts.

Technical fixes and improvements to pages already close to page one can show results within weeks. Bigger gains in competitive markets usually take three to six months or more. We give you realistic timeframes for your market before you start.

No. All of our SEO services run month to month with no lock-in contract. You stay because the results are there.

It means we measure our success by how many SEO visitors become leads and customers, not by rankings or traffic alone. We track calls, forms, bookings and sales from organic search and report them to you.

Your AgencyAnalytics dashboard shows organic traffic, rankings, leads, sales, conversion rates and Google Business Profile activity. You also get a plain-English monthly summary of what we did and what comes next.

No honest agency can. Google controls its own rankings, and anyone who promises the top spot is guessing or using risky tactics. What we can promise is a clear plan, transparent reporting and work focused on results that make you money.

Yes. We are based in Perth and work with businesses across Australia, from local service businesses to national online stores.

Google Ads puts you at the top of search results straight away, but you pay for every click and the traffic stops when you stop paying. SEO takes longer to build, but the traffic keeps coming without a cost per click. Many businesses get the best results using both together.

Yes. AI tools draw on content and sources they trust. Strong SEO foundations, clear answer-first content and good authority all make it more likely that AI tools mention your business. We also offer dedicated AI search optimisation (GEO and AEO).

Access to your website, Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Google Business Profile, plus a conversation about your goals, your best customers and what a good lead looks like for you.

Yes, as long as people search for what you offer. Small businesses often do very well with local SEO, because they can compete in their own area without needing a national budget.

Yes. We can write all of your content, work alongside your in-house team, or provide detailed briefs for your own writers. Every piece is written in plain English and checked against the search it needs to win.

We use call tracking numbers that show on your site for visitors who arrive from organic search. Those calls are recorded as conversions in your reports, so phone leads are never missed.

You keep everything. Your website changes, content, links and data all stay with you. We hand over access and notes so the next person can pick up where we left off.

Yes. Your Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Business Profile and website are yours. We work inside your accounts, not ours.
