Why audit

What a proper audit tells you

Most businesses running Google Ads have a nagging feeling that some of the money is being wasted. An audit turns that feeling into facts. How much is going on searches that never buy? Are your conversions real? Is your budget going to the right services? Are your ads even showing when your customers search?

Our audits are done by a specialist who reads your account, not a tool that spits out a generic score. Automated checkers are fine for spotting missing settings. They can’t tell you that your best service is starved of budget, or that half your “leads” are newsletter sign-ups.

You get a plain-English report with every finding ranked by how much it is costing you and how hard it is to fix. It’s free, and you keep it even if you don’t work with us.

It’s also how every Google Ads management engagement with us begins. Before we change a thing, we understand what is already there.

What we check

Six areas, checked line by line

Pick an area to see what we look at, and the kind of thing we usually find.

What we check

If tracking is wrong, every other number is wrong too. So we start here.

More on GA4 conversion tracking and call tracking.

Common findingA lead form counted twice, making the cost per lead look half what it really is.
  • Which conversion actions exist, and which are primary
  • Duplicates between GA4 and the Google Ads tag
  • Call tracking and call length settings
  • Enhanced conversions status and diagnostics
  • Values on conversions, and whether they are realistic
  • Tag Manager container health

How it works

Four steps, no pressure

Simple for you, thorough on our side.

  1. Tell us about your business

Fill in the short free audit form with your goals, rough budget and Google Ads customer ID.

  2. Give read-only access

You add us as a read-only user in Google Ads and a Viewer in GA4. We can see everything and change nothing.

  3. We go through the account

A specialist reviews tracking, spend, structure, bidding, ads and landing pages, usually across the last 90 days or more.

  4. We walk you through it

We explain what we found in plain English. You keep the written findings and the fix list, whatever you decide.

What you get

Your audit report includes

Clear enough to act on yourself, or to hand to whoever runs your ads.

A rating for each area

Tracking, wasted spend, structure, bidding, ads and landing pages, so you can see where the problems are at a glance.

A wasted spend estimate

Roughly how much of your monthly budget goes on searches, places or times that are unlikely to buy.

A prioritised fix list

Every finding ranked by impact and effort, so you know what to do first, whoever does the work.

Quick wins

Changes you can make this week, often in under an hour, that stop the worst leaks.

If you do want us to manage the account, there is no lock-in contract. Our agreements are month to month.

New things worth checking in 2026

Google changed a lot this year. These are the updates we look for in every account.

  • Settings upgraded to AI Max. In September 2026 Google began moving campaigns that use automatically created assets or campaign-level broad match into AI Max. Worth checking what changed in yours.
  • Call-only ads ending. New ones can’t be created, and existing ones stop showing in February 2027. See call tracking.
  • Enhanced conversions as one switch. Web and leads became a single setting from June 2026. See enhanced conversions.
  • Offline imports moving to Data Manager. The old API route closed to new users on 15 June 2026. See offline conversion imports.
  • Dynamic Search Ads next. Google plans to move remaining Dynamic Search Ads campaigns into AI Max from February 2027.
Most accounts we audit aren’t badly run. They just drifted. A few settings changed, a tag broke, a campaign grew too big. An audit finds the drift before it costs you another year.
